Please bear with me if this is incomprehensible. I'll try to edit it as soon as possible.
donna yume wo mi ni ikou ka? (what dreams shall we go see?)
It is the only line I can understand in the song. it's been over 2 months since I found this song, and yet, I still can't catch what they're saying. I know I need to work on my Japanese π π , but that's not the point today. Today, I want to tell you what I want to be, and how this song helped me find it.
I've been asked this question multiple times. I bet you have, too. and you might have pondered choosing the best answer for it.
"What do you want to be?"
as if we can be whatever we want, huh? We cannot. Yet still, isn't it good to dream a little bit?
Let's just say, this is the world where we can be anything we want to be. Then what do I want to be?
I want to be an artist. When I first listened to Hikoutei, I didn't understand anything at all. despite my lack of language skills, it communicated to me in a way that words didn't. The beats talked to me that I need to go forward and follow my heart. I didn't need to look up the lyrics, the beats told me everything I need to know.
I was in awe of the artist who created this masterpiece. I want to be such artist, who transforms art into a universal language that everyone understands and can relate to. I want to be an artist, I want to talk to people and want people to understand me.
(fun fact: i had this song on repeat the whole time i was writing, Lol. i can never get bored of it)

Lyrics limits the boundaries of music. Without them it’s an endless playing ground for your imagination
